E888 & E816 Expansion Units
These units provide additional inputs and outputs to the MoTeC Advanced Dash Logger (ADL) via a CAN connection, giving users the benefit of increased system functionality, greater flexibility to customise channels and significant cost savings over alternative expansion methods.
The E888 features eight built-in thermocouple amplifiers for use with K-type
thermocouples, making it ideal for applications such as V8 drag racing where exhaust gas temperatures are routinely measured to monitor engine performance. It also includes eight analogue voltage inputs, four digital inputs and two temperature inputs.
The E816 offers sixteen analogue voltage inputs, four digital inputs and two temperature inputs, allowing engineers to expand their sensor capabilities or carry out specific R&D testing.
Both units include eight auxiliary outputs which can be individually controlled for frequency and duty cycle.
The E888 features a two part 60 pin connector, as used on MoTeC’s M400, M600 and M800 ECUs, while the E816 has a 66 pin Autosport connector. For ease of use, the inputs and outputs are configured through MoTeC's Dash Manager software in the same way as the ADL’s own channels.
