Overview
Flash Tuner Boxes
A: Once the Flash Tuner has been used to
program a vehicle, it will be VIN locked to that particular vehicle until the
programming has been returned to the stock setting.
B: The Flash Tuner Box can store up to 3 custom
programs at any one time, loading to and from the flash tuner box can be done an
infinite amount of times.
C: The flash tuner can be changed over to a new
vehicle, it must be cleared using software available from CAPA. This process can
only be performed 5 times. Then it must go back to SCT / USA for a Reset.
D: Software will be available to download
original program from vehicle processor if code has not already been made
public. This software must be requested.
E: General software files generated by CAPA
will become available to all dealers upon request.
F: CAPA Tune Files are also available as part
of the Flash Tuner for retail sale. This retail product is also available to
dealers.
Advantage Software
Designed for
workshops and tuning shops, it gives total flexibility to produce custom
programs on a laptop / pc, then the ability to load program into flash tuner
box to facilitate loading new programs into vehicles. This program is Windows
Based, has a help screen giving the user information. Advantage software takes
the guess work out of custom tuning.
The Flash Tuner is so easy to
use, a few simple steps is all it takes to load a new program into a
vehicle.
1. Plug the flash tuner into the diagnostics port of your car (under the fuse panel).

2. With the key off, use the ‘SELECT’ button to choose the program you wish to install into the car (Factory, 1, 2 or 3).

3. With the LED lit up on the program you wish to install, hold the program button for 3 seconds. The LEDs will flash on and off. This will time out after 30 seconds.

4. While the LEDs are flashing, turn the ignition to on (dash lights illuminate) but do not start the vehicle. The flash tuner will now download your factory program and upload the new program. |

5. Once the lights stop flashing, the programming is done. Turn the key to the off position and remove the
OBD-II connector. Turn the key to on and verify that the car starts. |
